Radiator hose just changed, still leaking?

Allot of times a crack in the weld seam at the radiator neck can be miss diagnosed for a leaking hose. Have your cooling system pressure checked to see exactly where it's leaking. Good luck and hope this helps.

Where is it leaking? The clamps have to be pretty tight in order to keep the water from leaking out when hot. If the hose clamp is too close to the edge of the hose, it could not seal good enough and it will leak, so it should be about 1/4 inch from edge or more, but not to far. Some nipples (where the hose hooks on) have ridges, and the clamp should right against the ridge, with the hose pushed on as far as it will go.

With the clamp too high, the hose can also curl, and leak.

get new clamps,the ones with the screw are the best,make sure there is no cracks.
