Problem with Toyota Truck cooling system?

I own a 94 Toyota T100 V6 for some reason when Im driving in the freeway my temp gauge goes 3/4 hot but its cold when driving in the streets. I have changed termostat, hoses, etc but still does it? sometimes its 3/4 hot, other times its normal?? I have already flushed the radiator (a few yrs old only) too....

dont listen to that guy toyota is the best truck manufacturer hands down. but i would say check the water pump or maybe the radiator isnt workin properly...you can take off the upper radiatior hose to check to see if the water pump is pumping if so disconect the lower and see if the radiator is flushing properly...after that i have no idea
